ABOUT THIS EVENT
The 2024 Dublin Irish Festival 5K and Kids Dash presented by IGS Energy will be held on Thursday, August 1, in Historic Dublin to kick off the 2024 Dublin Irish Festival weekend. This event will be limited to 1,000 registrants in the 5K and 75 registrants in each of our age-specific Kids Dash races. All races sold out in 2023, so don’t delay and miss your chance on the fun!
The event features an out-and-back course through Historic Dublin with a finish line full of spectators, followed by the post-race party and concert until 9 PM!
All 5K participants receive the following with their registration:
- High-quality event t-shirt (unisex)
- Official finisher medal
- One-day ticket to the Dublin Irish Festival
- One (1) beer from our beverage sponsor (must be 21 and over)
Once you cross the finish line, the celebration continues at the post-race party and concert! This celebration will take place in the parking lot behind Starbucks in Historic Dublin (13 S. High St.). There is no gear check at this event and IDs are required to receive/purchase beer after the race.
Start the Festival weekend early with drinks, food, and Irish music! Stay tuned for band and vendor information!
Additional Event Information
Early Packet Pickup
Save time in line on race day and take advantage of early packet pickup dates at Columbus Running Company's Dublin location (6465 Perimeter Dr 43016). Early packet pickup will be held on Sunday, July 28 (12p-5p), Monday, July 29 (10a-8p), Tuesday, July 30 (10a-8p), and Wednesday, July 31 (10a-8p). If you cannot attend the early packet pickup dates/times, you can pick up your gear at the race on event day beginning at 5:30 PM.
Please note: there is no gear check at this event.
Race Day Parking
There are multiple surface lots and garages nearby. Please allow ample time to find parking and to walk to the starting line. Reminder there is no gear check at this event. Plan to bring any essential items you may need for the post-race party (ie. ID, money, etc.) without having to make a trip back to your car!
Race Day Timeline
Race day check-in and registration (while spots remain) begins in the parking lot behind Starbucks in Historic Dublin. All events start and finish on S. High St. between Eberly Hill Ln. and Pinney Hill Ln. at the large Dublin Irish Festival arch. The arch will be set up around 6:20 p.m.
- 5:30 PM - Race day check-in will begin in the parking lot behind Starbucks in Historic Dublin (13 S High St 43017).
- 6:35 PM - The Kids Dash for kids 5 & Under
- 6:45 PM - The Kids Dash for kids 6 & Over
- 7:00 PM - The Dublin Irish Festival 5K is underway!
- 8:00 PM - Awards will be announced in the parking lot behind Starbucks in Historic Dublin.
Awards
All finishers in the 5K will receive a medal commemorating their accomplishment. Finisher medals will be distributed at the finish line upon completion of your event.
The Dublin Irish Festival 5K & Kids Dash presented by IGS Energy also gives out awards in the 5K to the top 3 overall male and female finishers as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 19U, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
The official award ceremony will be at 8:00 PM on race day in the parking lot located at 13 S High St in Historic Dublin.
