The Nurses are RUNderful 5K is about honoring RUNderful nurses!

Join us for this inaugural Ohio Nurses Foundation 5K fundraiser where you can walk or run in honor of a nurse who has made an impact on your life, whether you’re a nurse who works with another RUNderful nurse, or someone in the community who experienced the compassion of a special nurse during a difficult time. Do you have RUNderful nurse in mind? Share the name of your RUNderful nurse with a photo of you on race day using #NursesAreRUNderful! You can also share your short story with us on the ONF Facebook page!

The Ohio Nurses Foundation understands how important nurses are and will continue to be throughout our lives. The ONF is the philanthropic arm of the Ohio Nurses Association, a 501(c)(3) charity founded in 2002. Since 2002, the Foundation has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships and grants to Ohio students and nurse researchers. The proceeds from the 5K help fund nursing scholarships and grants, along with supporting nursing education and research, and the future of healthcare.

Unfortunately, we can’t congregate in large groups currently, but we can still come together as a virtual community and enjoy fun, fitness, and social sharing. Be sure to use #NursesAreRUNderful when sharing photos from your challenge and check out how others are conquering their distance.

How Does A Virtual Race Work?

1. Register to run/walk the virtual 5K by clicking on the "Sign Up" button above.

2. Train for the event, working your way toward that 5K (3.1 miles) goal distance.

3. Run or walk the distance on your own, on a course of your choosing or treadmill Run/walk anytime between Sunday, November 1st, 2020 – Saturday, November 14th, 2020. You can go this alone, with friends, or even have your children, grandchildren, or little neighbors join in. Make it fun! Please note: your race materials will be mailed right to your door the week of October 26, 2020!

4. Report your results as detailed here anytime between 11/1/2020 and 11/14/2020.
