PLEASE READ: As of August 24, 2023, due to low registration numbers and budgetary concerns, this race has been moved to VIRTUAL ONLY. We apologize for the inconvenience! The in-person race has been cancelled, and all registrants will have their swag materials mailed to the address that was used during the registration process. All registrants will have their materials mailed to them during the week of August 28, and have the option to report results here on the race website between Saturday, September 2, and Saturday, September 9. To report virtual results, click on the "Results" tab at the top of this page between September 2 and September 9, then click "Submit Virtual Results". Please note that submitting virtual results is completely optional and not required. Thanks for your understanding and we hope to see you at another one of our events soon!
Kids Get Cancer Too (formerly known as The American Pie Party) is excited to host their second annual 5K Pie Run to benefit families fighting pediatric cancer! Please join us on Saturday, September 2, 2023, for a 5K Run/Walk at the Heritage Rail Trail in Hilliard, Ohio. All proceeds will benefit Kids Get Cancer Too to help us continue our mission of supporting kids in active cancer treatment. Let’s kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with a run and some pie-in-the-face humor!
Additional Race Information
Early Packet Pickup
Early packet pickup will take place at Columbus Running Company's Dublin location on Thursday, August 31, from 10 am to 8 pm and Friday, September 1, from 10 am to 6 pm. Participants can also pick up their materials on race day as well.
Parking
Anyone attending the race is encouraged to park at Merchant Park (5467 Center St, Hilliard, OH 43026). The starting line for the race will be at the rail trail entrance at Merchant Park. Please DO NOT park at the Makoy Center. Overflow parking will be at the Hub - Innovative Learning Center (3859 Main St, Hilliard, OH 43026).
Race Day Timeline
6:30 am - Race Day Check-In and Packet Pickup Begins
8:00 am - 5K Begins
9:00 am - Awards
Swag
Each registrant will receive a finisher medal, swag bag, and a cream pie in the face when they cross the finish line (if they choose.). The 2023 finisher medal is pictured below! Race shirts do not come standard with race registration, but participants can add a shirt for an additional $10 within the registration process. Shirts are available to add on for registration through 8/15.
Awards
Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finishers, as well as the top male and female finishers in each of the following age categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
