Everything You Need to Know About EDGE
Welcome to EDGE! We’re a community of dedicated marathoners chasing world-major dreams. From breaking through new barriers to earning those bucket-list bibs, we are all about fulfilling your world major marathon dreams!
What We’re About
EDGE is an advanced marathon training group built for runners who want to qualify for the world’s biggest races! Boston, Berlin, Chicago, London, Tokyo, New York, and Sydney. We blend science-based training with a real sense of community, because pushing limits feels a lot easier when you’ve got people beside you doing the same thing.
The Training
EDGE offers mileage plans that peak between 60 and 90 miles per week, depending on your experience and goals. Every workout is designed with purpose, no junk miles, no random workouts. We follow a scientific progression built around tempo work, threshold efforts, long runs, and recovery cycles that make sense for marathon performance (and real life).
We train smart. We train hard. We train together.
Seasons:
We’ve got two main training seasons each year:
Summer Season (6/20/26 - 10/18/26): Prepping for fall marathons (think Columbus, Chicago, Berlin, and beyond)
Winter Season (1/10/26 - 4/26/26): Building up for spring races (think Cap City Half, Boston, London, and beyond)
And when we’re not in a main block?
That’s where EDGE: Season Zero comes in, our off-season, free-to-the-public group runs open to anyone who just wants to stay sharp and be part of the crew. No commitment, no cost, just running and connection.
Meet The Coaches:
EDGE Head Coach: Dylan Miller - A former Division I runner at the University of Kansas, Dylan has deep roots in competitive running. During his time at KU, he was fortunate to train alongside some of the sport’s elite, including Sharon Lokedi (Boston & New York Marathon champion), and world-class athletes like Bryce Hoppel and Cordell Tinch.
Combining his own racing experience with lessons learned from elite training systems, Dylan builds EDGE’s programs around scientific strategies, smart progression, and real-world application. He knows first-hand how to balance high mileage, targeted workouts, and recovery. He understands how small adjustments can unlock big gains.
Under Coach Dylan's guidance, EDGE isn’t just about time on feet or volume. It’s about structure, consistency, and community. Dylan is still in the trenches with his training, experimenting and learning. Using every season to sharpen both himself and the athletes he works with.Head
MIT Head Coach/Training Groups Director: Hannah McCorkle - Hannah leads the Fleet Feet Columbus training groups and brings years of elite-level experience in marathons and ultra-marathons. With countless races and wins to her name, she’s a seasoned coach and an expert resource for training, pacing, and race strategy.
You’ll see her alongside Coach Dylan every Wednesday and Saturday, helping her MIT athletes push their limits and reach their goals.
Adidas Partnership:
We’re proud to be sponsored by adidas! Each year, three EDGE athletes earn free entries (paid for by adidas) to a World Major Marathon! Because hard work deserves big rewards. There will also be free bib opportunities sprinkled in throughout the year!
Every member of EDGE will also receive an EDGE adidas racing singlet and a year-round 25% off adidas gear and shoes coupon at Fleet Feet Columbus stores.
The Expectations
Because EDGE is focused on more advanced training we do have some standards for entry.
- You are within 30 minutes of your respective qualifying time based on your age. (For Any Abbott World-Major Marathon)
- You are over the age of 18
- You can build up to at least 60 miles per week. (This is our lowest volume training plan)
- Training for a race that lines up within our training schedule. Preferably within 3 weeks earlier or later.
