Combat Wounded 5K (2018 5K cancelled)

THE 2018 COMBAT WOUNDED 5K HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES. WE TRULY APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS HAS CAUSED. WE TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT AND UNDERSTANDING AND HOPE TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE IN THE FUTURE!

The Nathan B. Carse Purple Heart 4th Annual 5K will be held at Ottawa Metro Park in Lima, OH on May 27th, 2018. Registration will begin at 08:00 am, the race will start at 09:00 am. There will be same day registration but shirts will be on a first come basis.

 Recognition signs [18" x 24"] can be purchased to place along the race route recognizing your veteran.  Families will be able to collect the signs after the race.  Signs will contain a photo, veteran's name and whether it is "In Honor of" or "In Memorial of".  Cost is $20.00 per sign and must be submitted prior to May 15, 2017.  Email your photo & information to LimaMOPH@gmail.com.  You may also submit your payment with your race application provided it is in by May 15, 2017.

The Purple Heart (Badge of Military Merit) is awarded to service members of The United States Armed Forces who have been wounded or killed in any action against enemies of The United States of America. The mission of The Nathan B.Carse Chapter 1612 Military order of the Purple Heart is to foster goodwill, camaraderie, patriotism and provide service and support to our local combat wounded warriors, their families, and the community. All proceeds from participants and donations will benefit local veterans, helping with resources to file claims, sending veterans on therapeutic outdoor retreats, and partnering with other organizations to help veterans with re-integration.
