Description
The Marion Tallgrass Trail is a gem in Marion County that follows the old Erie-Lackawanna railway.
The Marion Tallgrass Trail 5K was started by the Leadership Marion! Class of 2012-2013, to raise funds and awareness for the Marion Tallgrass Trail. In the runs first two years, we were unable to use the actual trail due to weather, and the initial paving project. This year the run is being put on by the Marion Young Professionals to continue raising funds, as the trail is close to being paved for 12 miles. Funds raised will be used to help maintain the trail.
