BOOK AROUND MIDDLETOWN Shopping Cart Challenge
Join the Middletown Kiwanis Club for our 5th Annual Book Around Middletown Shopping Cart Challenge to benefit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library!
The Challenge:
Each 5-person team will be given a grocery cart, courtesy of Needler’s Market to use throughout the event.
Every group must visit all stations along the route and complete the activity at each location.
The teams will also decorate their cart with their chosen theme from a children’s book (teams supply their own decorations). Each group will have up to two hours to complete the entire route and accumulate as many points as possible from the various games and activities. At 5 PM all teams must be back at the City Building for final judging. Judging will be based off the team’s presentation of the book characters, (cart and costumes).
The Teams:
Each team will consist of up to 5 members (must be over 18 years of age). The cost to participate is $100 per team, or $20 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
Awards:
Awards will be given for the best theme, best decorated cart, and the team that accumulated the most points within the two hour time frame.
Cost:
$100 for (5 member) team.
