2024 Speakers

Miah DeSantis - Registered Dietitian at Schulte Wellness. She specializes in sports nutrition, focusing on fueling properly for performance and recovery. Miah took an interest in sports nutrition in high school (at Springfield Shawnee) where she ran cross country and track. She realized that if she was going to be able to perform at her best, she had to improve her fueling. Miah walked-on Ohio University's XC team but didn't have the success she hoped for.  As a result, she wants to help all athletes achieve their dreams in the best way she knows how, which is through nutrition.

Janel Frilling (Olberding) - Certified Nurse Practitioner. She will be speaking on RED-S and its impact on female athletes.  Janel was an All-Ohioan in 3 sports in high school and continued competing collegiately in track and field at Ohio State University.

Charlie McMahan - Founder of Players Box, a facility designed for students to function at a high level of excellence in the areas of Academics, Arts and Athletic experiences. Students will learn interactive ways to deal with pressure and how to, through grit, show them they can enjoy the process of pursuing excellence. Players Box teaches not only the development of the performer’s skills but the enjoyment of that skill.  Players Box

His athletes have broken 16 school records, earned 58 All-GMAC honors, crowned 18 individual G-MAC Champions and along with 11 National Qualifiers. As a team, the Oilers have won 8 G-MAC Track Titles, 4 by the Women and 4 by the Men while the Cross Country teams continue to move up conference and regional ranks. Coach Wymer is a graduate of Ohio Northern University where he studied Exercise Physiology while competing for the Polar Bears in Cross Country and Track.

She was a member of the cross country and track and field teams. She was a 4-time G-MAC champion (indoor 5000m, indoor 3000m, outdoor 5000m,
