Springboro Accelerando 5k

Join us for the first-ever Springboro Accelerando 5K on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023. This race benefits the Springboro Band Boosters, a non-profit organization that empowers young musicians to reach their musical goals. The Boro Band Boosters provide Springboro Schools students with school-owned instruments, music stands, marching band supplies, and so much more. 

This race is being organized by the same student/teacher team that hosted the 2022 Springboro Run for Babies 5K benefitting the March of Dimes. That event raised more than $2,500 for the organization. 

The Course: The race is on the grounds of Springboro High School. The 3.1 mile course is a single loop with different start and finish areas. With a 50ft hill up to Dennis Elementary, a finished straightway on the track and asphalt road to run on, this course is fun for all! Speaking of fun, this year's race will feature a one-mile Fun Run that begins just after the start of 5K. 

Registration: Online registration is $25 through Nov. 11, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Race day registration is $30. You can register on race day between 11-11:45 a.m. 

Shirts: There will be race t-shirts for $10 (our cost) when you register online by Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 at noon.  We want to maximize the funds raised for the Springboro Band Boosters while keeping the race entry fee low. There will be a very limited number of shirts available for purchase on race day from the 2023 Springboro Accelerando 5K and also the 2022 Run for Babies 5K. 

Awards: Awards will be given to the top three males/females and the top person in each age group.
