The Colonial Hills Civic Association invites you to participate in the 41st annual 5K Run Through the Hills. The race will be held on Sunday, July 4, 2021, starting at 8:30 a.m. The course will weave through beautiful tree-lined streets of Colonial Hills in Worthington, Ohio and offers a great way to start the 4th of July.
The "RUN THROUGH THE HILLS" starts and finishes at Selby Park, located on Selby Boulevard between High Street and Indianola Avenue in Worthington, Ohio.
For continued safety concerns, there will be a staggered start for the race. We will ask that all runners and walkers line up in small groups based on their anticipated mile pace (sub 7 Minute, 7-9 Min, 9-11 Min, 11 Min and above). The start will be done in a series of wave starts. The event time is done with chip timing and the race results will reflect the actual chip start and finishing time. We will use the staggered start to help maintaining social distancing at the start and on the course.
There will be a limit of 150 runners/walker in the in-person race.
Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers and the top Junior (age 19 and under) finishers.
Age group awards will be given to the top three finishers:
The awards will be presented immediately after the race.
Saturday, July 3rd, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Selby Park shelter house. Please stop by on the 3rd to avoid race-day lines, and get your bib in advance.
Race day packet pickup will begin at 7:30 AM.
Additional race information can be found at http://www.colonialhills.us/.
The start and finish lines will both be located on S. Selby Blvd near the shelter house. Separating the start and finish lines will allow for multiple staggered starts (waves), additional spacing for the start and to keep the finish line chute open. The race start will be done in several waves based on the participants' estimated running pace. All participants will be "chip timed" for the individual and overall results.
