This is a timed race with awards for multiple age brackets!  Time Chip race with finisher shirt/Awards/After race meal all for $30!  What a deal!

Why we are running? Because NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE!

Dillon Wilkett was a normal active 18 year old boy. He had been complaining of excruciating headaches so a few days after his 18th birthday Phyllis took him to the local ER. They were diagnosing it as stress headaches or Migraines, but she demanded they do a scan. The scan showed a baseball size tumor on his thalamus. They immediately sent him by ambulance to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. There are no success stories when you google “removal of thalamic tumor”, but the surgeon here gave them hope. A few short days later, the doctor removed almost all of his tumor, however Dillon didn’t wake up as planned. His road to recovery has been much slower than expected and he requires full time care. He is not yet able to walk or talk or get out of bed on his own, but we know he’s just taking time to heal. There’s not a set standard for the healing time because there’s been no other tumor like his that has been successfully operated on. He’s a miracle!

Bo- Bo is something else. Bright, funny, kind and ridiculously outgoing. The kid doesn’t meet strangers. He’s an incredible athlete and lives for baseball. Bo was burning trash the day after Halloween and a small mistake ended in disaster. Bo was burned badly, with 2nd and 3rd degree burns covering 35-40% of his body. They life flighted him from his home to Tulsa where they stabilized him enough to fly him to Shriners burn hospital in Galveston. Bo is going to endure many surgeries and have a long road to recovery as well. He had his first skin graft surgery the day after he arrived at Shriners, with many more to follow. He’s definitely a fighter and I think he’s more worried about his momma hurting inside than his pain on the outside. He’s also a bit concerned about that throwing arm!

But let’s not leave out the rest of that family. Kiley has taken on a full time role as caregiver for Dillon and really stepped up to help
Phyllis. Jaylen is our littlest hero. He saved Bos life and ran for help when Bo had his accident. If it weren’t for Jaylen things could have been so much worse. Natalie and Brooke are both trying to hold down the fort while Phyllis is away and Jacky has been right by her with those boys from day 1. They are all amazing. While they’re just dealing with what’s been thrown their way, their strength as a family is nothing short of inspiring.
