Description

The 11th Annual Hometown Hope Run, hosted by the Gospel Rescue Mission in Muskogee, will be held on Saturday Evening, September 23rd at the original Gospel Rescue Mission location at 2nd & Elgin.  This year the run will go through the Depot District which will be hosting the Localmotion Festival that weekend.  There will be a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk, a chip timed 5k on a USATF certified course (check back soon for course map).
The Hometown Hope Run was started in 2013 by a church small group that felt led to do something positive for the mission and the community.  The first 5 years of the event, it was held at the old GRM facility at 2nd and Elgin.  When the Gospel Rescue Mission moved to it's new home on Callahan in 2018, the event also made the move and this will be year 6 at the new location.  This year the run returns to the orginal course as we partner the with the localmotion festival going on in the depot District.
This is race is sanctioned by the United States Track and Field Association (USATF) and medals will be awarded to USATF Standard Age Groups (Every 5 year Age Groups) for the 5k race.
