2025 Gear Grants Poker Run

Get your ticket before the price increases on September 6!

Join us on Saturday, September 13, for the 2025 Gear Grants Jackpot Jog, a poker run and catered lunch to fundraise for Run Hub Gear Grants!

Run Hub Gear Grants provides free running shoes and other gear to school-aged runners in need. Our fall 2025 Gear Grants application opens August 15, and grants will be issued to cross country athletes in September.

Tickets
Pre-registration is required for the event. Your $33 Gear Grants Jackpot Jog ticket includes

• access to the poker run and post-run raffle
• a catered lunch from Yabai Nikkei (chicken or tofu teriyaki, rice, salad and Japanese potato salad)
• a drink from ColdFire Brewing (beer, wine and non-alcoholic options)
  We encourage you to buy your ticket before Sept 6, so that we have an accurate count of participants for the caterer. The ticket price will increase to $43 on Sept 6.

About the event
The event will start at 11:30 AM at Run Hub Northwest, 515 High Street in Eugene, and participants will have 30 min to check out Brooks demo shoes and other products from our sponsors. The run will start at 12 PM at Run Hub. Runners will run to five checkpoints throughout downtown Eugene and will draw a playing card at each one. The run will end at ColdFire Brewing Company, 263 Mill St.

The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run! The top three winners of the game will receive a gift card to Run Hub!

Thanks to our sponsors, Brooks, Balega and Skratch, 100% of ticket sales will go to Run Hub Gear Grants!

Event schedule
11:30 AM: Meet at Run Hub to check out Brooks demo shoes and other products from our sponsors.
12 PM: Poker run begins at Run Hub and finishes at ColdFire.
1 PM: Food, drinks and raffle at ColdFire.

More about Run Hub Gear Grants
Run Hub has issued over 230 $200 Gear Grants to local student athletes since the program’s inception in fall 2022.

Run Hub Gear Grants can be used by middle and high school students who need financial assistance to purchase running shoes and other gear from Run Hub. Students must be enrolled in a track or cross country program at a Eugene/Springfield school or a sanctioned youth running program within Eugene/Springfield. Grants are given in the spring and fall of each year.

Gear grants are created with funds donated by Run Hub customers and community members and through fundraising runs such as the Jackpot Jog.
