2019 Discover Pink Walk & Fun Run

Welcome to Northwest Family Services' 15th Annual Discover Pink Walk & 5K Fun Run! Discover Pink Walk & Fun Run raises awareness and funds for the Women's Health Program of Marion and Polk Counties. Funds raised will provide free mammograms, health education, and other services to underserved women. All funds raised serve women in the local area.

This year, we will be holding the traditional Discover Pink Walk as usual, but are also hosting a 5K, as we did last year. Registrants can participate in either the Walk or the 5K Run (1 or 3.1 miles, respectively). There's no competition and no prizes, just wonderful people getting together to take a stand against breast cancer. Whether you prefer the Walk, you've been running for your whole life, or you're hoping to complete your first 5K, you are welcome at Discover Pink! 

Participants can register for the Walk or the Run as individuals or they can form a Team. Registration fee is $15 for individuals or $12 for each team member (Each person must register and a minimum of 5 adults is required for the $12 team rate). Once the 5th team member registers, every previous registrant on that team will receive a $3 refund for the difference in registration costs.

Children under 12 years of age can walk for free, but they must still register for the event and a parent/guardian must sign their waiver. Well-mannered leashed pets are welcome (and are also free). "Day of Walk" entries will be available for $25 at 8:30 am on the day of the event.

2019 Discover Pink T-shirts (click here to see the design) will be raglan 3/4 length sleeve baseball Ts, and are not included in the registration fee, but can be purchased on the day of the race for just $15. If you have pre-ordered a t-shirt or would like to purchase one in advance, they will be available at:

T-shirts may also be picked up on the morning of the Walk. Limited T-shirt sales will also be available on the day of the Walk. There will also be a special gift to honor and recognize each breast cancer survivor who participates. 

Make sure to also join us for the pre- and post-Walk festivities! We will have a Vendor Fair with local merchants and organizations, a group stretch for people of all flexibilities, a raffle, and a costume contest for Best Costume and Most Pink. Discover Pink is fun for all ages! Here is the event schedule:
