Description
Ensure our young people have a safe place to go by providing a scholarship to a child in need.
At the Salem Kroc Community Center, we offer a wide variety of character-building and educational programs as well as wholesome activities. Among these are basketball, swim lessons, summer day camp, pre-school, pre-k, and bi-weekly toddler time which provide early childhood development education for low-income youngsters.
The $25 Kroc Walk admission fee allows you to participate and to receive your t-shirt & medal. But it also provides the life changing opportunities found at the Kroc Center to a family in need through a partial scholarship.
During this event, we're not limiting you to walking - you can walk, jog, run, swim, row, roller skate, hula-hoop or do just about any other activity you can think of!
F.A.Q.
What is a Virtual Walk-A-Thon? As part of a virtual Walk A Thon, participants can register to walk, jog, run (even skate, swim, hula-hoop and more!) on their own time in the location of their choice. The 2020 Kroc Walk will take place over the two weeks of June 21st - July 5th. You can complete your 5K (3.1 miles) in one stretch or split it up into multiple portions.
Do I have to Walk? As part of the Kroc Walk, we encourage you to do whatever movement you most enjoy! Yoga, Roller Skating, Elliptical... whatever gets you up, active, and excited!
How do I get a Medal/T-Shirt? You can get a t-shirt and a medal through one of two ways.
1. Pick them up at the front desk of the Salem Kroc Center. Please bring proof of your registration.
2. Select the "mail me my awards" option at registration and your t-shirt, medal and mask will be mailed to you.
