**Pre-registration in closed!  We will have on-site registration day of race

Join me, Coach Saxe, on Saturday, June 3rd as I celebrate my retirement after teaching and coaching at South Salem High School for 35 years.  The Matson-Shannon 5,000 meter race is at 10:00 (the traditional Saxon Invite start time). The Pankey 800 meter run for children under the age of 10 is at 10:50.  We will start things out with a 1.5 mile walk around the Kelsey Oldham Loop. The  5,000 will be run on the traditional Bush Park course. Community members, current students and athletes, and former students and athletes are all welcome to attend.  There will be a BBQ (Adams Ribs Catering) afterward for anyone who would like to hang out a little longer.  All proceeds will go toward two scholarships my husband and are committed to offering at SSHS for years to come, as well at to the WVRR Kelsey Oldham Scholarship for which I am the chairperson.  South Salem art teacher Dave Pluister is creating one of a kind glassware for the top 10 men and women finishers in each race.  The top finishers in the Pankey 800 meter run will recieve mason jars filled with candy.  The top 10 finishers in the 1.5 mile walk will recieve a loaf of Great Harvest Bread.
