Alex Wake ’05 Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk

The Alex Wake ’05 Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk held annually at The Baldwin School will be virtual for 2021! The event will continue to raise awareness of domestic violence and to celebrate the life of Alex Wake ’05 who was herself a victim of a senseless act of domestic violence. Alex was a joyful and vibrant member of the community and an enthusiastic participant in school activities including Cross Country and Winter Track Teams. Her contributions to our community as a scholar, athlete and friend were invaluable. Proceeds from this event fund the perpetual scholarship in her name.

Once you commit to running the 5k virtual race, when you're done, submit your result to be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a $100 gift card to Philadelphia-area running store Bryn Mawr Running Co. 

Virtual Run/Walk Directions

Join us virtually!

Participants choose to run 5K or One mile walk.

All Runners/Walkers can complete their distances on their regular training courses, on a treadmill, or anywhere that feels right (while practicing social distancing, of course.) Between April 24 and May 1 complete your run/walk and take pictures of yourself and your time (if running) and share them on (Instagram/Facebook/Twitter with a tag AlexWake5k!) Once you register, detailed instructions will be emailed to you on how to report back your time officially.
