Summerfair 5k and 10k

A Carlisle Tradition!  Friendly.  Flat.  Fast...and best of all it's FREE!!!  This is a family friendly event that encourages everyone to participate!  The courses are friendly for first time runners, walkers, and for those that are looking for a personal best as well.

Registration-  IT'S FREE!!!  Please sign up if you have any desire to do this race.  All we ask is that you stay in the race you sign up for and complete the distance you chose by 9:40am.  There will be no race day registration.

Course-  The 5k is a single loop.  The 10k is two laps of a slightly different 5k loop.  Courses will be marked but participants are responsible for following the course.  Roads are open to traffic so be aware of your surroundings and if you have little ones please make sure they are with an adult.  Usually there is very little traffic but is a residential area so be aware.

Registration-  Once you are signed up you simply need to show up!  Starting at 6:30am on race day you can pick up your bib (with chip already attached), pin it to your shirt (it needs to be on the front of you so the scanner can get your finish time) and get ready to race.  There will be porta potties located within the block at several locations.  

Results-  It's a free race but it is chip timed!  Results will be posted in the order of finish.  There will be no official awards for the overall or age groups.  

Other Details-  Parking is available on the streets around the Dickinson campus although Mooreland Avenue will be closed race day morning.  There will be a water station on the 5k and twice for the 10k.  Running strollers are allowed, dogs are allowed given the owner is responsible for their actions and they are on a leash (the dog, not the owner lol!). Last but not least, this race is done entirely on volunteers...we aim to provide an opportunity for families to do a free event and make memories!  There is a small army of people that devote their time to making this event go year after year and we hope you enjoy it in 2019!
