The Foundation

The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley is a local 501c(3) non-profit foundation dedicated to helping children and families affected by pediatric cancer by providing free and unique programming and support during treatment, survivorship, and bereavement. We are focused on creating a loving and supportive cancer community for families whose lives have been forever changed by hearing the words, "Your child has cancer." We host events and activities to create free-of-charge opportunities for families to have fun and to find nurturing support within the pediatric cancer community. We have regular, ongoing programming like our Art Soup program and monthly Moms’ Night Out, as well as much-loved annual events like Big Top Circus and Camp Smile. PCFLV makes monthly visits to the inpatient pediatric floor at Lehigh Valley Health Network through our Chemo Circus/Golden Days program, armed with an array of arts and crafts, gifts, entertainment, and food to distract children during their treatment and to create happiness and smiles. We are also always available to make specially-requested and personalized visits to children during inpatient stays, as well as home visits. We provide individual and specialized assistance based on the needs of our families as well, often in the form of grocery and gas gift cards to help defray the often-unrecognized costs of dealing with a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Our fundraising events support this mission.
