Description
Please join us for the 2nd Annual Tyler J. Sansonetti Race. This year's event will benefit VetPets of SWPA, an organization focused on the mental and emotional health of local veterans and first responders through the healing power of emotional support, hands-on therapy dog programs, and hands-on service dog programs.
This year's race is being held at Bushy Run Battlefield, Jeanette, PA and will start at 11:30 a.m. Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the pavilion. Registration will include a t-shirt, and medals will be given to the top 3 finishers in each run division. This will be a 3 mile race, with options to run or walk the event. 3 miles was chosen as the length to reflect The Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test, which includes a 3 mile timed run. Tyler's personal record was 18 minutes, so a special award will be given to any participant who completes the race in 18 minutes or less.
Following the race there will be food trucks, live music, and outdoor games. We encourage registrants and non-registrants to participate in these activities. The event will end at 4:00 pm.
