Description
In honor of Autism Awareness Month, we invite you to join us in walking 24 miles throughout April. Each mile represents one of our 24 residential group homes serving adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism.
What Is the Miles for Friendship Challenge?
This unique event is an opportunity to come together during Autism Awareness Month to support adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. By walking 24 miles, you’re honoring the incredible individuals in our 24 residential group homes while raising awareness about their needs and contributions. The funds raised through this challenge will help sustain our programs and empower these individuals to thrive in a supportive community. Each step you take brings us closer to building a brighter future for everyone we support.
Here’s what to expect:
Track Your Progress: Log your daily steps or mileage through our online platform. You can walk at your own pace, and at a location that is best for you. Outside, on a treadmill ... with a friend, or solo. This is YOUR challenge to embrace.
Interactive Map: Watch your icon move across the map as you complete miles, introducing you to Heart Artist murals. These murals are lovingly created by the talented participants in our Friendship Heart Gallery & Studio programs.
Fundraising Opportunity: You’ll have the chance to create a personal fundraising page to spread awareness and raise much-needed funds to support our mission. Every dollar raised truly makes a powerful difference, empowering endless possibilities for all we serve.
Special Rewards: A t-shirt is already included with your registration (Until March 1st) . Plus, all participants who complete 24 miles will receive a special package as a token of our appreciation!
