The Haunted Half Marathon & 5K

The Haunted Half with be a Spooktacular race! It finishes in The River Front Park. Both the course, half marathon and 5K will travel through the scenic Lancaster area countryside along the Susquehanna River.   The races will run entirely on the Northwest Lancaster Rail Trail.   It's a paved surface with fantastic views of the Susquehanna River.  Temperatures should be perfect to go along with the last of fall's colors making this an awesome run!! 

The half marathon will gain 60 feet of elevation in 6.55 miles; the return will lose the 60 feet for a fast finish! 
The 5K is FLAT with only 40 feet of elevation change. This is a great 5K course for a PR!

Registration opens at 8:00am 
Half Marathon Starts at 9 am,

BIB/SHIRT PICKUP:
SUNDAY- Day of the race starting at 8:00AM
Pickup will be in the Pavilion near the Start/Finish Line

PARKING
Will be at River Front Park, there is ample parking 

FINISH LINE:
Please continue to move through the finish line to receive water, medal and food. 
There will be vegan and vegetarian options available. 

COURSES
Half Marathon: Start and end in River Front Park and travels through the scenic Lancaster countryside along the Susquehanna River. Staying entirely on the NW Lancaster Rail Trail. (Very Flat and Fast.) map

5k: The  Start and end in River Front Park  and will run on the Rail Trail along the Susquehanna River.  (Its FLAT,FAST and scenic) Great for trying to set a new PR.

AID STATIONS: 

• There will be aid stations on the course. 
• Please make sure to put your garbage (bottles, gels, etc) in or near the provided garbage cans on the course (just after the aid stations) or carry it to the next station.
• Runners that disregard the above, may be penalized in their final time or disqualified.
• Any runner that is seen discarding a mask on the ground will be disqualified. 

AWARDS: (FOR ALL RACES) Overall TOP 3 PLUS, top 3 in the following
Age Groups: 19 & under 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+      Also, there will be special awards to the best 3 Costumes!!

T-SHIRTS:

Race themed LONG sleeve tech shirt
The cutoff date for a shirt guarantee is October 17, 2021. 

AMENTITIES:  Finisher's Medal (half ONLY) , Long Sleeve tech shirt,  

TIME LIMIT: 3.5 hours for the Half Marathon. If you need more time, you may request to begin the race early. 

CHARITIES:  We will be making a donation to the local search and rescue volunteer team.
