Townsend's Pipeline Purge Has Been Cancelled

Description
Can you survive the Purge? How many one-mile laps (with over 400 feet of gain per lap) can you run in two hours?!
With elevation spiking near 1350 feet, and an elevation gain of about 400 feet per mile, Townsend’s Pipeline Purge will push your body to the limit. This one-mile figure-eight course sends you up the pipeline, around the trails, and back to the base checkpoint to do it all again. Each lap will be counted as you cross the checkpoint.
This is an untimed race, just complete as many laps as you can!
In the event of a tie, the race director will determine what challenge runners must complete. Last year, whoever completed the most burpees in two minutes won! So buckle up!!
POST RACE PARTY
Relax at the post-race Pipeline party with Sly Fox Brewery, music, food and drinks. All participants receive a Purge t-shirt and custom glass (see SWAG section below for full details); top survivors get some cool awards!

RACE DETAILS
- This race will run at 8:00 a.m.
AWARDS
- Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women
- Awards will be determined by most laps completed in the 2 hour time span.
- Participants who are still on the course at the 2 hour mark will be able to complete that lap BUT it will not count towards their overall laps for results.
- Only laps completed by the end of the 2 hour mark will count for awards.
IN CASE OF A TIE
- In the event of a tie, the race director will determine what challenge runners must complete. Last year, whoever completed the most burpees in two minutes won! So buckle up!!
COURSE DETAILS, MAP and AID STATION
The Pipeline Purge begins with a 150 yard downhill scramble that ends at the base of a 1 mile loop with almost 400 feet of gain every mile.
The first hill will challenge your legs, lungs and more importantly your mind. Once you crest this beast, you will then have a nice downhill respite before the second single track climb which will once again challenge you like nothing else. Upon cresting this monster, you will have a technical single track decent which brings you back to the base of mile where you will then climb again.
AID STATION
- There will be an aid station at the base of the Pipeline hill which will be stocked with water, electrolyte drink and snacks.
