Description
Happy Hanukkah! Just because Hanukkah doesn't have enough Ks, let's add 8 more. Here's a FREE challenge to get you off your tuchus (butt) to move and do some good in the world. Each day of Hanukkah, do a little shlep (I can't translate this, it is exactly what it sounds like) and instead of kvelling (bragging) about your achievement online, bring some good in the world. As Jews around the world light a candle each night of Hanukkah for eight nights, you too can spread some light with a good deed. Maybe you donate to your favorite charity, or help a neighbor or family member, donate blood, or something else Maimonides (badass Jewish scholar known for charitable thinking) would be proud of, and keep track virtually. Let's at least make 2020/5781 a little brighter.
So, you want to join the tribe? Here's some fun challenges:
The Plotz (epic collapse from exhaustion): I don't want to move, I just want to do some mitzvot (good deeds)
The Mensch (righteous person): Sure, I'll do 1 kilometer a day for 8 days, and yeah, I'll do some good with the mishpocha (family)
The Shlep: I'll do an one 8 kilometer activity for one day, then after a good shvitz, I'll do some more good.
The Meshugganeh (crazy person): Oy vey, are you insane? That's 8 kilometers a day for 8 days! And some good deeds? I'm verklempt (speechless/overcome with emotion)
The race is free, so you'll get bupkis (nothing). But feeling good and maybe some social media love for this mishegas (madness). Nu, that's better than some tchotchkes (swag), right? So track your kilometers and your good deeds in the virtual tracker, and we will spotlight you if you wish! Pick any charity or cause your pretty punim (face) desires--this is your race!
