Run for Clean Air

CANCELED Philadelphia, PA 19130 US

Description

Come run with us in person again! Join Clean Air Council and the thousands in Philadelphia and beyond in celebrating Earth Day and another year of environmental progress. The Run for Clean Air is one of the region’s longest-running charity races and its largest Earth Day celebration. To ensure the health and safety of our runners, walkers, staff, volunteers, and supporters, everyone onsite at the 2022 Run for Clean Air will be required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination. More info can be found below.

The Run for Clean Air offers various distances, a 5 or 10K run, a 3k walk, and even kids' fun run, all along our flat, fast, scenic course along MLK Drive. We will also have a virtual option, giving runners the freedom and flexibility to run their race when and where they choose.

Join the thousands of people that choose to celebrate Earth Day with Clean Air Council. Consider fundraising for the Run for Clean Air to strengthen your impact this Earth Day and further support Clean Air Council's mission to protect everyone's right to a healthy environment. Participating in the Run for Clean Air is much more than symbolic support of the environment, it's actively supporting it by funding Clean Air Council's work protecting everyone's right to a healthy environment. More info about Clean Air Council's work can be found at cleanair.org

No matter where you run or walk this year, join thousands of people putting their best foot forward and supporting the environment this Earth Day with the Run for Clean Air!

Covid-19 Policy

To ensure the health and safety of our runners, walkers, staff, volunteers, and supporters, everyone onsite at the 2022 Run for Clean Air will be required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination. Registrants onsite at the race must be fully updated on their Covid vaccine, as defined by the CDC, which includes a booster at the time of writing this.

Our race staff and volunteers will be checking vaccine cards (or we will accept a picture) when distributing bibs, either during our pickup days before the race or on race day itself. If someone is picking up your bib, please make sure they have a picture of your vaccine card to show our race staff. As of writing this, the CDC defines being fully updated on your Covid vaccine includes a booster shot.

Participants who are not fully up to date on their Covid vaccination can still participate in our virtual race. We also encourage participants experiencing any symptoms or possible exposures leading up to the race to switch their registration to our virtual race. All virtual runners and walkers will still receive a finisher medal and race shirt, with shipping included in your registration. More info about our virtual race, including switching your registration, can be found at cleanair.org/run/virtual
