Description
We're excited to bring the second annual Battle of the Books to the Fox Chapel Racquet Club on Thursday, October 21. We invite anyone who loves books, competition, or both to form a team and join the battle! Teams of 4-5 people will read 6 books and answer questions in scored rounds. The cost to register is $250 per team - registration includes dinner for each player and tickets for the raffle. Ready, set, READ!
Awards will be given for best team name, best team outfit, top fundraisers, and more - get creative and share those fundraising pages today! This year, we're partnering with the St. Margaret Foundation, the fundraising arm of St. Margaret Hospital. Donations will go to support the The Martha Mack Lewis Health Information Library at St. Margaret Hospital.
NEW THIS YEAR
We have a wonderful opportunity from the White Whale Bookstore located in Bloomfield. They are partnering with Battle of the Books to provide a bundle of the books to teams who sign up. The books will be automatically shipped to your team captain on the day the books are announced. No more searching around for copies! Even better, when you order from The White Whale, they will make a donation to the St. Margaret Foundation. It's a WIN WIN for everyone! There will be limited bundles available and you need to sign up separately through this link!
About St. Margaret Foundation:
The reason we exist is because being sick is difficult enough without having to worry if you have a ride to chemotherapy or treatment, or if you can pay for expensive medicine, home oxygen, walkers, insulin, and other items you need that aren’t covered by insurance. We fill in those heartbreaking gaps with hope and healing for patients of St. Margaret.
