Description

We are super excited to announce the start of the Frick Summer Trail Series launching in July 2024. Races are held four consecutive Wednesday evenings: July 17th, July 24th, July 31st and August 7th. Individual races cost $20 or $25 depending on when you register, but we offer multi-race discounts. 25% off when signing up for the full four race series. That's $60 for all four races. You may also do walk-up registration in-person on race day for $25 cash or credit card from 5pm to 6:15pm.

Full race details and logistics available as a Google Doc here.

All races start at 6:30pm. Each week we start and finish from the grassy area in between the Reynolds Street Gatehouse Entrance and the Frick Park Lawn Bowling Courts. 7300 Reynolds Street is the Lawn Bowling Courts address and most accurate one to use for GPS.

Races will take place rain or shine. Any decision to cancel due to dangerous weather (thunder/lighting) and/or air quality issues will be announced in the afternoon the day of the race. We will post updates through email, Paper + Dirt website/social media and updates on the RunSignUp page.

Each race will be 5-6 miles in distance. We will post the exact routes within each race's registration page and email out to all participants beforehand.

  • RACE # 1 and 4 will follow roughly the same route, allowing runners to measure up the final week against their first week's time. Designed by Chas Wagner.
  • RACE # 2, designed by Kevin Tucker and lead of 3 Roc's Adventure Racing Team, will be Orienteering-specific. Think check points and scavenger-hunt vibes.
  • RACE 3: HILLS HILLS HILLS - COURSE BY XANDER ZINSMAIER. Not for the faint of heart or exertion. Xander will be having you climb and then climb some more. Not many PR's this week, but certainly good for marathon and ultra training! Approx. 6 miles.
  • RACE 4: 5.34 miles and 642 feet of climb on mainly double-track trails. Designed by Chas Wagner. Route here.
