Description
Welcome to the 2nd annual Kyenjojo 148! Participants will be running, walking, or biking 148 miles (you choose your activity or combine them), which is the distance from the capital city of Uganda, Kampala, to Kyenjojo, our partnered community. Participants will have only one month to run/walk/bike the 148 miles starting October 1st and ending October 31st (Average ~5 miles a day). You can accomplish the race independently or with a team, adding up your miles as you complete them. Our registration fee includes live updates as you venture through Uganda and a t-shirt.
This year prizes will be awarded to the top three male and top three female athletes who complete the most miles, as well as the top team who completes the most miles. We will also be randomly drawing winners who participate in this race. We are working with amazing businesses that have made awesome donations. Keep your eye on our social media sites for updates throughout the race and information about prizes!
Our community goal is to collectively run or walk 7,209 miles, which is the mileage from our headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Kyenjojo, Uganda! Last year we were able to crush this goal and hoping to do the same even with one less month. Together we are going to reach our goals in the inaugural Kyenjojo 148! Good luck everyone!
