Team Allied Services began in 2010 as a way to raise awareness and funds for children and adults with disabilities at Allied Services. 9 years later, and with the help of WNEP TV, major sponsors, school districts and countless individuals and businesses, it has raised more than $3.2 million and become a positive force for transformation for our employees, patients and their families.

The funds raised have changed the lives of thousands of children and adults with disabilities at Allied Services, enabling us to invest in cutting-edge rehab technology and therapeutic services. The goal: to bring big-city rehab technology back to the region so that individuals with disabilities, life-changing injuries and chronic illness have the very best chance of recovery, rehabilitation and improved quality of life.

Technology purchased over the past 9 years has and continues to help children and adults with disabilities including patients with Alzheimer’s, individuals with developmental disabilities, speech disorders, stroke, brain injury, lymphedema and many more life-changing injuries and conditions.

This non-profit health system touches the lives of almost 5,000 people in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania each week. Its 3,000 employees provide skilled nursing, home care, vocational services, physical rehabilitation, behavioral health services and end-of-life care to help individuals and families live each day to the fullest.

A donation of any size will have a lasting and positive impact on children and adults with disabilities in the area. For example, a $50 donation can purchase applications for iPads for children with autism; $100 donation will assist children with developmental disabilities in pragmatic social experiences; $250 can provide a week of music therapy group sessions for residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia; $500 donation can subsidize a 13-week therapy session for a family who doesn’t have adequate insurance.
