The Craig Candiotti Memorial Race to Recovery 5k Run/Walk

For more than a decade, families living in thousands of communities throughout America and beyond have faced an over-the-counter, prescription, and street drug abuse crisis.  Recently, however, that crisis has reached an even greater depth of tragedy with the abuse of opioids. Although we live in a small town, we are not immune to this epidemic. It is here and it is damaging us not only as a community but as the whole Shenango Valley.   With September being National Recovery Month, the Sharpsville Baseball Boosters have decided to join the outreach on substance use and mental health disorders.  

Through this event, we hope to raise awareness in our community of addictions treatment by celebrating those who are in recovery, their family and friends, and treatment professionals.  Our goal is to raise funds to help reduce barriers for individuals accessing treatment and prevent further substance abuse and mental health disorders in our community. The Sharpsville Baseball Boosters will donate 50% of all proceeds from this event to Rainbow Recovery Center in Mercer, PA. 

Race Day Registration will be available from 7:45 - 8:45am for the 5k.
