Caring Communities Stigma Free 5k

Join us for the very first ever Caring Communities Stigma Free 5K (3.1 miles) from Friday, June 23rd to Saturday, June 24th! This virtual walk/run gives participants 24 hours (12:00 PM to 12:00 PM) to complete their walk or run wherever they like. Sign up and submit your own time! First, Second, and Third place winners with the fastest times will win a Caring Communities tote bag with varying swag and goodies!

Since 1994, Caring Communities, a nonprofit, community-based organization, has helped individuals living with HIV and AIDS in Northeastern and North Central Pennsylvania with their medical, financial, and social needs. Our mission is to provide a series of comprehensive services to prevent, test, and treat public health disparities while creating educated, stigma- free communities. We pride ourselves on our outstanding reputation for offering a safe, inclusive environment for all people.

All the proceeds from the Stigma Free 5K will be donated to Caring Communities Mobile Clinic Fund. Caring Communities is deeply rooted in Pennsylvania’s rural counties and understands there are people living in this area who haven’t accessed these services because they lack resources including reliable transportation. Our mobile clinic will allow us to offer our robust clinic and case management services throughout our entire 12-county range enabling us to bring these critical services directly to anyone in need!
