Gingerbread Man Running Company presents the Labor Day Half Marathon on Monday September 6, 2021 that will benefit Autism Connection of Pennsylvania. Learn more about them at https://autismofpa.org A portion of the race proceeds will benefit ACOP.
At this time we do not have specific guidelines as to how this race will be conducted as far a COVID-19 restrictions. We will be following all safety guidelines per our state and county. We are hopeful that we have very few or even none at all by September! Any new information or changes will be posted to this page and social media.
We have events for the whole family. Runners can take on our half marathon course, 10k, or 5k.
NEW for 2021, we will be introducing a Rucking division. This is an offical https://goruck.com race. Learn more about it at https://www.goruck.com/rucking-101. All participants will receive a GORUCK patch and the top 3 male and female participants will get an award!
The requirements: Wear a Ruck/backpack with the standard weight-10# for participants 150 lbs. and under, and 20# for those over 150 lbs. Your ruck will be weighed at the beginning of the race. No participants will be weighed, weight requirements are on the honor system. GORUCK Ruck Plate Carriers are acceptable for this event. Weight vests are NOT allowed. Backpack must be worn on your back at all times.
Registration and parking will take place at the Youngwood Fire, with a short walk to the race start. Please consider donating to our local fire department, as they were an integral part of making our race a success! You can do this online when you register.
Race day registration will be through Run Sign Up ONLY. No paper registrations accepted the day of the event.
The course will take place on the 5 Star Trail, road, and wooded trail near WCCC.

There is a 3 1/2 hour cap on the half marathon, so it's a run only course. Participants may walk or ruck the 5k and 10k course. Awards will go to the fastest time for runners and ruck participants. There are no separate awards for walkers.

The Half Marathon begins at 7:30, followed by the 5k and 10k shortly after. Please come early if you are in the Rucking Division to have your ruck weighed prior to the start. New this year, we are giving away a beach towel with all Half Marathon registrations. (in place of t-shirts) You must be registered by 8/22/2021 to be guaranteed race swag. Late registrations will be offered a water bottle or a shirt from previous year events. Half marathon participants will also receive a finisher medal. Awards given to top male/female and age group for each event, and top 3 male/female ruck participants. (no separate walker awards)
5k/10k participants can UPGRADE from the water bottle to the beach towel for $15. This means you will get the towel IN PLACE of the water bottle, not in addition to, or until we run out inventory reserve. Water bottles can also be purchased separately for $15. Race towels can be purchased for $30 or until we reach max inventory. Purchases available when registering online.
