Table Rock Fire Relief Run

🌲🔥 Help Us Restore & Protect Table Rock – Join the Fight Against Devastation 🔥🌲

The trail systems, the mountain, and the surrounding wildlife at Table Rock have faced unimaginable devastation over the past few months. Just as we were beginning to grasp the damage from Hurricane Helene last fall, a wildfire outbreak has now ravaged over 10,000 acres with 0% containment, placing immense strain on our local first responders.

Thousands of residents are under evacuation orders, currently displaced and waiting for relief. To support these efforts, we are organizing a Virtual Run to raise crucial funds on two fronts:

Supporting First Responders: The brave men and women of the SC Forestry Commission urgently need supplies to continue battling these fires over the next several days. While rain is forecasted for early next week, which may help slow the spread, the danger is far from over.

Helping Displaced Residents & Recovery Efforts: Funds will also provide food and essential resources for both first responders and residents affected by the Table Rock Complex Fire. Once the fires are under control, our efforts will shift toward cleanup and restoration of the beloved trails and surrounding areas.

On a personal note, I’ve watched these trails evolve over the past decade, only to witness relentless ecological stress take its toll in such a short amount of time.

We are asking for your help to preserve the beauty of the Table Rock area and the Foothills Trails – a place cherished by runners, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Any donation you can offer will make a difference. Together, we can restore what has been lost and protect what remains.

Club Member, Alex Ball, will be leading an effort to feed the first responders this weekend so any donations received will be funding these efforts first.
