Hilton Head Surfer Santa 5K

Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual participant, the Surfer Santa 5K promises a festive and active experience for all. Join us for a beachside run with a special touch of Santa riding the waves, blending fitness, fun, and holiday cheer on Hilton Head's shores. Save the date for an unforgettable, surf-inspired celebration! 🏄‍♂️ All Donations and Proceeds from the event will go to the Hilton Head Boys and Girls Club.

 Every participant will receive a festive Hawaiian shirt and a pair of cool shades, creating a unique and vibrant atmosphere against the snowy backdrop. 

And that's not all—the top 3 runners in each age division will receive special surfboard medal. REGISTRATION:
Registration is online only. Cut-off for registration is Friday July 26th at 11:59PM. Late Registration is available at Packet Pick Up only. 

There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Top 3 in each age division will receive an additional limited-edition medal. 12U, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-60, 70-79, 80+.
 
RACE COURSE:
The race will begin and finish on the beautiful Hilton Head Island's Coligny beach. The tide low, the sand is hard packed.

Where: Palmetto Running Company in the Shelter Cove Towne Centre
Participants may pick up their packets at Palmetto Running Company on April 12th.
Please bring your confirmation email (hardcopy or smartphone) to Pick Up.
- You may pick up for more than one person.
- You may purchase additional race T-shirts at packet-pickup if available.

Race day pick up available 7:00-7:45AM at the race start area. 

AWARDS TO OVERALL WINNERS:
Overall Male and Female 5K winners receive a $50 Palmetto Running Company gift card.
 
AFTER PARTY: 
The fun continues after the race with music, refreshments and local vendors.

ABOUT THE CHARITY:

At our Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island, 48% of our members live in single-parent homes or with a grandparent. Most all our Club families are hourly wage employees, many with multiple jobs. 

  60% of our kids live in households at or below the Federal Poverty level. The Club serves 50,000 free meals annually.
- Ask a kid why they attend the Boys & Girls Club, and they will say, "It is fun and it is safe"

OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE – TO ENABLE ALL YOUNG PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO NEED US MOST, TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS PRODUCTIVE, CARING, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS. 
We have enjoyed great success as an organization, but there is more to be done. We need to prepare the Club for the new generation of learners who may be left behind without access to technology and innovation to spark their interest and feed their passions. As our tourism economy grows so does the demand for workers who need extended hours of after school and summer childcare. We need to be able to serve more children and need to ensure they have access to academic programs and enrichment opportunities that they would otherwise never have. 

SUSTAINABILITY AT THE SURFER SANTA 5K:
Over the past few years, Palmetto Running Company has been working hard creating sustainable running events. We are seeking to lighten the overall environmental footprint of the event while taking steps to foster nature, conserve resources, and engage and support the local community. 
Palmetto Running Company will be providing waste recycling.
