2022 Ghost of the Coast Fun Run

We are excited to announce that the Horry County Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a Fun Run and a Free, open to all children Trunk or Treat at the Carolina Forest Recreation Center on October 29th, 2022. This event will be held on the 5K run and walk trail behind the Carolina Forest Recreation Center. Costumes are encouraged for the Fun Run and awards will be given in several categories for best costume. Finishers will be rewarded with a themed medal at the finish line and all paid registrants will receive a pair of Halloween themed running socks. Immediately after the Trunk or Treat, Horry County Parks and Recreation will kick off the fun run.

The Trunk or Treat will feature games, a "best decorated trunk" competition and inflatables while numerous businesses and Horry County departments will be handing out candy to the children. Please join us for this great event!

Start Times:

Trunk or Treat: 2:00-4:00pm

5K Fun Run: 4:00pm

5K:

$25 Early Bird registration now until 6/1/2021

$30 6/2/2021 to 7/31/2021

$35 8/01/2021 to 9/30/2021

$40 10/01/2021 to 10/22/2021

$45 Race Day Registration

Awards:
Awards will be given in the following categories (Must be present to receive award, no mailing of awards)

Overall:
Male and Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd (5k and 10K)

Age Division Structure: (Age group awards are based on net chip time)
0 to 9
10 to 19
20 to 29
30 to 39
40 to 49
50 to 59
60 to 69
70 Plus

Parking:

Parking will be at the Carolina Forest Parks and Recreation Center 2250 Carolina Forest Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579

Packet Pick-Up/Late Registrations:

There will be no packet pick-up prior to race day.

Saturday, October 29th at Carolina Forest Recreation Center from 3:00pm-3:50pm.
