The Palmetto Trail has provided the following important update regarding race morning access to Croft State Park and the race start time:
“Due to updated park policies and procedures, the participant gate into Croft State Park will now open at 7:00 a.m., and the race start time has been moved to 8:00 a.m. We apologize for the change from the originally advertised start time and appreciate your flexibility and understanding.”
Please plan to arrive with enough time to enter the park, park, and make your way to the start/finish area before the new 8:00 a.m. start time.

| Enter through the main gate at Croft State Park: 450 Croft State Park Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302. |

| Once inside the park, turn left onto McFadden Road. The additional gate at McFadden Road will also be open race morning. McFadden Road is about a mile inside Croft. |

| Follow McFadden Road approximately 2 miles to the start/finish area. |
|
| A staff member or volunteer will be stationed at the intersection to direct race traffic and make sure everyone turns onto the correct road. Please pay close attention to Palmetto Trail staff and volunteers directing traffic. Following their directions will help keep traffic moving efficiently on race morning. |

Join us for True to the Brew Trail Run/Hike Half Marathon! Embrace the challenge of 13.1 miles on the Croft Passage of the beautiful Palmetto Trail.
Both the start and finish are at Croft State Park, so there are no shuttle buses. Whether you are chasing a PR, tackling your first trail half marathon, or just looking for an unforgettable race experience, this course delivers.
We are capping the race at 200 runners only. This race SELLS OUT every year, so hurry and get registered!

4:00 to 6:30 PM the day before the race at RJ Rockers Brewing Company, 226-A W Main St., Spartanburg. Bring your friends and enjoy a beer by showing your bib.

The participant gate into Croft State Park opens. Race day packet pickup runs at the start line from 7:00 to 7:45 AM.

The Course
Experience the incredible Croft Passage of the Palmetto Trail, featuring beautiful forest scenery, rolling terrain and creek crossings. Both the start and finish are at Croft State Park.
This course is moderate with some hills. It is a technical course and is recommended for experienced runners. There is a 4 hour cutoff time to complete this race.
The race is capped at 200 runners and sells out every year. If it sells out, join the wait list: if a slot opens you will be notified by email and have 24 hours to take it.
Packet Pickup
Join us for packet pickup on the Friday before the race from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at RJ Rockers Brewing Company, 226-A W Main St., Spartanburg, SC. We hope you will bring your friends and enjoy a beer by showing your bib!
At the race start line, 7:00 to 7:45 AM on race morning.
Awards
All finishers will receive a custom bottle opener medal to commemorate their race! Our awards ceremony takes place near the finish line. That is also where breakfast is served.
If you win an award, please stay for our awards ceremony! We are not able to ship out awards after the race ends. If you have a friend at the race, we are happy to give the award to them to take to you.
Finish Line Celebration
Crossing the finish line is only the beginning of the celebration! Every True to the Brew 13.1 finisher will be welcomed back with a custom finisher medal and a well-earned full hot breakfast fresh off the grill, personally cooked by Palmetto Trail staff and volunteers.
Grab a plate, relax, swap trail stories, and stick around to cheer as more runners conquer the Croft Passage and make their way across the finish line. There is nothing better than seeing the trail-running community come together to celebrate every finisher. Come hungry and plan to stay awhile!

Giving Back
Proceeds benefit the Palmetto Conservation Foundation and go directly toward expanding and maintaining the Palmetto Trail across South Carolina. Their mission is to foster an appreciation for South Carolina’s natural and cultural resources, providing opportunities for active recreation on the Palmetto Trail and other trail systems that can be enjoyed by all in South Carolina, regardless of gender, race, creed, age, or ability.
