Event Description
Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2026 for True to the Brew Trail Run/Hike Half Marathon! Embrace the Challenge of 13.1 miles on our NEW COURSE at Croft Passage of the beautiful Palmetto Trail! **SHIRT GUARANTEE DEADLINE: 9/1/2026. We will order extra but can only guarantee your size and availability if your register before our deadline. Our website will show you inventories of what sizes are available when you register.
No Refunds. No Deferrals. Race is Rain or Shine! No Bib exchanges after 9/25/26.
For safety reasons, no strollers or dogs are allowed on the course. You must be over the age of 14 to register for the race.
This course is moderate with some hills! There is a 4 hour cut off time to complete this race. This is a technical course and is recommended for experienced runners.

Directions and Parking Info

Croft State Park will open at 6am for our participants! Enter through the main gate (Croft State Park: 450 Croft State Park Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302) and turn left onto McFadden Road. There is an additional gate at McFadden Rd that will be open race morning. McFadden Rd is about a mile inside Croft.

Follow McFadden Road approximately 2 miles to the start/finish area.

We’ll have a staff member or volunteer stationed at the intersection to direct race traffic and make sure everyone turns onto the correct road.
Packet Pick Up Information
Join us for Packet Pick Up on Friday, Oct 2 from 4pm - 6:30pm at RJ Rockers! We hope you will bring your friends and enjoy a beer by showing your bib!

Awards
All Finishers will receive a custom bottle opener medal to commemorate their race! Our awards ceremony takes place near the finish line. That is also where breakfast will be served!
There will be Overall Awards for the Top Three Male/Female Finishers, Overall Masters Awards for Top Three Male/Female Finishers, and Age Group every five years. We ALWAYS go three deep and are known for our creative awards .
If you win an award, please stay for our awards ceremony! We are not able to ship out awards after the race ends. If you have a friend at the race, we are happy to give the award to take to them.

Crossing the finish line is only the beginning of the celebration! Every True to the Brew 13.1 finisher will be welcomed back with a custom finisher medal and a well-earned full hot breakfast fresh off the grill—personally cooked by Palmetto Trail Executive Director Mary Roe! 🍳
Grab a plate, relax, swap trail stories, and stick around to cheer as more runners conquer the Croft Passage and make their way across the finish line. There’s nothing better than seeing the trail-running community come together to celebrate every finisher!
