Description

Our Chattanooga Training Camp, held in Chattanooga TN, from April 26-28, promises to make you stronger mentally and physically. This camp is brought to you by Malone Coaching. Head Coach Katie Malone is known for connecting with athletes and bringing out the best in them.
 
Megan Hanewald, a Chattanooga based coach, will assist with the open water swim portion.
 
At camp, the secret you will learn is that being YOUR best isn’t just about the hard workouts; it combines physical challenge, positive feedback and mental stimulation. It Is about growing as an athlete and a person simultaneously. At out camp, we allow you to focus on YOU. The coaches are dedicated to making your experience everything you want it to be. We split up into appropriate pace groups. No athlete will be left behind.
 
Our camp takes place in Chattanooga, TN, and will cover the 70.3 racecourse over this weekend camp but also have the option for extra miles on the bike on Saturday for more advanced athletes.
 
Requirements:
Be able to safely swim 1500m.
Be able to ride 56 miles on the bike.
Be able to run/walk 10 miles.
*We will cater to beginners at the 70.3 distance, but you need to have the above fitness level to participate in camp.

SCHEDULE
 
Friday, April 26th
4:00 Check-in & Welcome Springhill Suites Downtown Chattanooga Lobby
5:00 Easy Run
6:30 Welcome Dinner TBD - *not included in price.
 
Saturday, April 27th
6:30 Pre-workout fueling – bring your own or enjoy breakfast items provided by the hotel.
8:00 – Meet in front of hotel ready to ride for pre-ride meeting – *we ride rain or shine so bring appropriate clothing! In case of bad storms, we will adjust the schedule.
*INPUT SAG numbers in your phone before the start.
·      80-mile option leaves first
·      56-mile option will leave a few minutes later
2 SAG vehicles will follow the groups. If you need additional bottles you can pick up from the cooler. *Label bottles with your name
Both rides are followed by a brick run from the hotel and will follow the course we run on Friday evening which is the beginning of the racecourse.
 
1:00 Lunch served at Springhill Suites (Jimmy John’s) *included in camp fee.
2:00 Tire changing clinic on the patio.
2:45 Yoga on the Patio *bring your own mat.
3:15-5:00 Quick Clinics *Snacks provided.

Sunday, April 28th

6:30 Carpool to Swim Start – 1001 Riverside Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37406
7:00 Swim the course - Swim Buoy and bright swim cap REQUIRED.
8:00 Regroup at hotel – Small Snack & Prepare to run.
8:15-10:30 Dynamic Warm-up & Run the course.
10:30 Meet back at hotel
11:00 Final Q&A - Coffee & Snacks provided on the Patio.
12:00 Conclusion of Camp
