Spring Hill Turkey Burn 2021

Tennessee Children’s Home is having Spring Hill’s 5th Annual Turkey Burn Half Marathon on November 27, 2021.   We are very excited to fill a community need and fund-raise. We will also have a 5K and a Fun Run for the kiddos. Come run the 5K with Sonic the Milk Shake and Tater Tot - the energy is infectious! The course will be multi-surface, gravel, asphalt, and cement.

Come enjoy a beautiful run through the back hilly roads of Maury County and Spring Hill. The race will start and finish at the Spring Hill High School. Nashville Striders is our race management team. 

Please abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)’s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html. Also abide by any COVID-19 distancing and other safety guidelines issued by the state, the community or by this race for participation in this race.

Please note that although we’ll try our best to avoid it, the course and start time is subject to change.

All Half Marathon and 5K Participates get Finisher medals*.

*Deadline for guaranteed shirt and medal is 11-12-21

Our 5 year Legacies will receive a special gift this year. 

PRE-PACKET PICK UP: Friday, November 26, 2021

Drive -Through: Beat the crowds by picking up your race bib, goodie bag, and shirt the day before the race. Registrants are allowed to pick up materials for friends and family members with a copy of their ID (a picture of the ID via phone is allowed).

Fun Run 1 mile for children - not timed 

Rules:

Half Marathon walkers are welcome with a 4 hour time limit*.

No dogs or strollers allowed for Half Marathon.

Strollers welcome for the 5K. (Please Remember this course will be multi-surface, hilly, gravel, asphalt, and cement.)

*Please note that a 15 minute mile pace or faster is required for both the 5k and Half Marathon race distances. A 15 min. mile pace is roughly four miles per hour, equivalent to a very brisk walk. If you fall below this pace, the race organizers can no longer guarantee course support. Aid Stations, medical support, portable toilets, and road closures will begin to become unavailable to participants. The local police and race organizers will ask you to reroute to a shorter version of the course, or move up onto the sidewalk where you will be required to obey regular traffic laws.

The money raised will support the Middle Tennessee campus of Tennessee Children's Home and the programs provided. Children and youth, who otherwise would not have opportunities to learn about Christ, have educational services and physical necessaries, count on people like you to help provide this safe and secure environment.
