Franklin Family Splash & Dash

Join Friends of Franklin Parks at the inaugural Franklin Family Splash & Dash on June 15, 2024, honoring the connectivity between the parks and trails system and celebrating dad! This Father's Day weekend event will feature an array of vendors and interactive booths for everyone in the family. This event is family friendly, dog friendly, and friendly to people of all athletic abilities! 

All funds from this event go to support the preservation of open spaces, protecting our natural resources, and enhancing our beautiful park system. 

What to expect? You have the opportunity to craft your own adventure based on you and your family's needs, featuring three elements:

• Float, Canoe or Kayak: 7:30AM  
• One Mile or 5k Walk or Run: 9AM
• 2 Mile Bike Ride: To follow run

PLEASE ARRIVE FOR RUN AND BIKE REGISTRATION BETWEEN 8:30AM and 9AM.

For those participating in the water portion of the event, details will be sent following registration. The event will begin and end at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. We highly recommend you bring a towel as there will be sprinklers and other water elements at this event!

*IF PARTICIPATING IN THE WATER PORTION PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BOAT AND WEAR A LIFEVEST*

For walkers and runners, there are two routes: One mile or 5K fun run. When signing up, please select which you plan on participating in. After completing the run, athletes will come back over the bridge and hop on your bike to do a lap around Harlinsdale on the pavement/gravel. There will be a bike station to store bikes. Please note, THIS IS NOT A TIMED EVENT. 

But the fun doesn't stop there! Some of our vendors include Curio Brewing, Happy Homie Coffee, Chick-Fil-A, Berry Farms (for your pups!), Trader Joe's and more :) Our incredible sponsors (see below) are going above and beyond for interactive stations- from bike obstacle courses, mini putting greens and bubble stations to Father's Day card-making booths! We can't wait to celebrate with you!
