Up The Creek 5 and 10 Mile Race

Come out and run in the beautiful Clarks Creek Recreation Area in Jonesborough, TN.  This is an exclusive limited entry race.  Only 50 total runners are allowed in both the 5 and 10 mile races.  The race course will be the 2.5 mile forest service road that run alongside Clarks Creek in the Cherokee National Forest.  The 5 Mile Race will be an out and back run on the road. It is so beautiful that the 10 mile runners get to do this twice.  There will be an Aid Station at the turnaround point (miles 2.5 and 7.5) for all runners.  

Both the 5 and 10 mile races will be chip timed.  The race will start and finish in the parking area at the beginning of the Clarks Creek Recreation Area.  Race will begin at 8 am for both races.  There will be a strict cutoff time of 3 hours for both races.  Parking will be limited on-site.  Port-a-potties will be available to runners as well.  Packet pick-up and Race Day Registration (if available) will be Saturday morning 7:00-7:45am.  If the race sells out (and it will), there will be no race day registration available. In order to keep race fees lower, the race shirts are not included in registration fee but are available for purchase until March 14th.

Clarks Creek Recreation Area also offers primitive tent camping.  This is on a first come-first served basis.  So if you want to experience all this beautiful area has to offer, you can camp for the weekend!
