Description
This is Starry Night Knoxville’s 7th annual race to cure the kids! We have 3 choices: 8.5k trail run, 5k, or 1 mile walk/ run! This will be a fun, family event and race at Ijams Nature center with the School of Rock playing around 3 p.m.. New this year, we will have costume contests before the races begin for dogs, children and adults so bring your Halloween spirit! There will also be food trucks and beverages for purchase. Join us in raising money and awareness for pediatric brain tumor patients by supporting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and our local East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
Every day, 13 children are diagnosed with a brain tumor in the U.S.. Approximately 28,000 kids are living with a brain tumor diagnosis. Our son, Brody, was one of those but fortunately he is a survivor. Brain cancer is the deadliest of all childhood cancers and we are determined to change that so that all children may thrive. Together, we are making a difference and have donated over $200,000 to date. Learn about our 2022 fundraising goals at this website and make a tax-deductible donation with receipt: https://team.curethekids.org/campaign/starry-night-knoxville/c395848
A huge thank you to our sponsors, especially our presenting sponsor, Weigels. Together, we are funding research, building community, and creating hope. 100% of your registration cost is donated thanks to our sponsors!
