Description
Welcome to the Maryville/ Alcoa Greenbelt!
This race will take place on the Fast and Fresh Maryville-Alcoa Greenway system located in Blount County. The course will start from our host location at Olympia Athletic Club and travel on an out and back course starting from the lower lot behind the facility heading North (toward Pellissippi Pkwy), turn around, and head back to the start. This event is low key and is capping at 50 runners total. Registration is First come-First available. Please, only runners who anticipate completing the course in 2:30:00 should consider signing up. Course will be open to traffic meaning roads will not be closed off, No worries- This is a full Greenway course (4 road crossings) with plenty of directions. Runners should anticipate seeing locals on the greenway walking, biking or pushing strollers.
**Race Update 5/10 @ 5:30pm:
*Due to sudden construction updates (announced 5/7/24) & Flooding on the course we will have to alter our route up for accessible greenway terrain. Due to this change the course this year will NOT be certified (USATF Cert. code TN21029MS). Race will begin across the street from Olympia Lower Public parking lot on the Greenway, Course will consist of TWO out and back lengths (Approximately 3.27mi each length, 6.55mi each lap). Due to major flooding on the course nothing beyond this is accessible or safe causing such drastic course changes. Thanks you rainy-spring of East Tennessee!
Race Shirts: T-shirts will be custom made for this event (Adult unisex sizes only). Orders close on 5/3.
Packet pick-up day of race only, please plan accordingly morning of.
Awards Top 3 per gender as well as top Age Group individual per gender every 20 year increment.

Olympia Parking Race Morning
Race attendees may park in the lower lot at Olympia Athletic club where portable restrooms will be available.
Packet Pick up will be located at the parking area, start will be a short commute to the bridge across from the Blount County Library (.25mile commute to Start/ Finish Line).
