PLAN TO STAY AND ENJOY THE LAKE

This year we are celebrating our 5th annual 5K for the Ten Mile/Watts Bar Lake area! The race benefits our Meigs County Volunteer Fire Department. It is a pleasant course with gentle hills and lake views and will be professionally timed by the Knoxville Track Club so competitive racers can use time to qualify for other races. It is also open to casual runners and walkers. Baby joggers and well behaved leashed dogs* are welcome after other racers start. Registration begins at 8:00 am, race begins at 9:00 am and awards presented at 10:30 or after the last finisher. First through third place medals will be given to male/female in eight age ranges and first through third medals and special award for overall winners. There will be t-shirts on site for all runners and those who sign up by 8/22/25 can guarantee their T-shirt size. Our fun swag bags, given to every runner, get better and better every year!

It is a safe and well managed race with first responders leading and following racers. The race is on pavement except for the last few feet which is on light gravel. The race will run from the Ten Mile town area 3.1 miles up to Euchee Marina. Runners can park at the Ten Mile at Lakeside Baptist Church or Euchee Marina.  Transportation from Euchee back to Ten Mile will be provided until 11:30, or participants can provide their own. There will be local swag bags, t-shirts and doughnuts, bananas and water at the end of the race.

All proceeds from the race will go to our Meigs County volunteer fire department! If you don’t want to participate in the race, but would like to donate, that option is available as well. Looking forward to seeing you all!

*Dogs are welcome but must be leashed and other dog and people friendly.
