The Taipei Transit 42.2Km Challenge

Imagine this: You've just completed a marathon in Seoul on the morning of March 12, 2025, and you're on your way to conquer another marathon in Koror, Palau, on March 14, 2025 but what do you do during a long layover in Taipei? You run another marathon, of course. We’re inviting you to be part of a one-of-a-kind “Run Taipei” event at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport during our overnight layover. This is your chance to tick Taiwan off your marathon bucket list in the most unique way possible—running several out-and-backs between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 while the airport sleeps.

Event Details

 • Date: Overnight between March 12 and 13, 2025

 • Location: Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (Between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2)

 • Start Time: Shortly after arrival at 23:00

 • Finish Time: Before boarding the onward flight to Koror at 9:45

 • Distance: Full marathon (42.195 km)

 • Format: Out-and-backs between the terminals

What You Need to Know

 1. Bring Your GPS Watch: Each runner is responsible for tracking their own distance and time.

 2. Hydration is Your Responsibility: Pack water, energy gels, or any hydration essentials in your carry-on luggage or purchase from the several vending machines at the airport

 3. Run at Your Own Pace: There will be no formal timing or road closures, so you can complete the distance at your leisure.

 4. A Unique Achievement: This run won’t just test your endurance—This is a story to tell with a Medal as bragging rights
