Description
MAY is Mental Health month & National Running month!
At STRIDE 5th Street Indoor Treadmill Studio, we are obviously really into running. We are also very passionate about supporting organizations and programs that not only help raise awareness around mental health, but actually advocate for those suffering with mental illness.
We thought to ourselves what better way to celebrate both than by using something we love to raise money for something we love, and the 5th Street Mental Miles Challenge was born! We are challenging any and everyone, no matter where you live, to run and/or walk and donate money for mental health from May 1 - May 31.
It's only $5 to register and there will be a BIG PRIZE for whoever logs the most miles and donates the most money. You will also be entered to win a STRIDE Heart rate monitor, STRIDE swag, or a 1 hr massage! #STRIDEforMentalHealth

All funds donated will go to NAMI Central Texas, a member of the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization, National Alliance on Mental Illness, that advocates from the US Capitol to state legislatures to local city councils with the goal of improving the lives of people affected with mental illness.
They strive to be a catalyst for positive change in how our community, government, law enforcement, schools and healthcare systems respond to an individual with a mental illness and his or her family. This is done by collaborating with national and state organizations to maximize their capacity for creating change both locally and nationally.
NAMI Central Texas envisions a community that addresses mental illness as a health issue and provides the systems, resources and education for all people to achieve recovery.NAMI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations made to NAMI are tax-deductible. Click logo below to donate.
