Race To The Club

Race To The Club is a VIRTUAL race that can be completed anyway you see fit...run, walk, rollerblade, skateboard, bicycle, wheelchair, anything except motorized transport. T-shirts are included in the entry fee and medals will be awarded.

The purpose of Race to the Club is to raise funds for scholarships and programming at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend (BGCCB). It is extremely important to us that healthy eating, physical activity, and relationship building be modeled to and by our youth every day. These three concepts collectively drive our Triple Play program incorporating a healthier lifestyle not only among our youth but our community as well. This virtual event will create opportunities to do just that.

There will be divisions for: 

• Runners
• Walkers
• Bicyclists
• Other non-motorized transport (i.e., Peloton, wheel chairs, etc.)

Medals will be awarded for:

• Most miles logged (devices that use .gpx, .fit, or .tcs file extensions will upload to your page on runsignup.com).  (.gpx is a gps file exchange protocal, .fit is generic to the fitness industry, and tcx allows transfer workout data between devices). Another option is to send a photo of your miles from your smart device to events@bgccb.org and we'll log the miles.

• Most runners recruited (as signed up at runsignup.com)
