Due to an unexpected staffing change, we are no longer able to support the full 8-week series as originally planned.

We have chosen to make week 7 the end of the series because of additional schedule conflicts and local schools starting the week of August 10–14. These changes also mean that the previously planned rain dates are no longer available. The dates listed above are now the remaining race dates for this year’s series.
This decision hurts... a lot. In 14 years of hosting the DFW Series, this is the first time we have ever had to cancel or change race dates for a reason other than weather/trail conditions.
I know schedule changes create frustration and inconvenience, and I truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. Our goal remains the same: to put on local, accessible and family friendly events for our trail loving communities.
For all participants currently registered for race 8 already you will be issued refunds for this event.

The HOTTEST Racing in Town! The DFW Summer Series presented by Sun & Ski Sports!
The DFW Summer Series is an annual favorite for all mountain bikers in North Texas. For the 2026 season we are headed to Big Cedar Wilderness trail in Dallas Texas. Races are held on Thursday nights ALL summer long.

Format
Races will be mass start on a short track course of 3.1 miles in length. Most categories will do multiple laps of the course. Big Cedar is known for it's technical singletrack and punchy climbs, but we have found a great short track course that is flat, fast and will be a ton of fun. This course will test riders with tight corridors, winding turns and plenty of rocks and roots. Watch out! There is a technical creek and bridge crossing towards the end of each lap.
All AGES are calculated based on the participant age at the end of the year (12/31/2026). This is done so that all participants will race within the same category or age bracket for the full series.

- $30 - Preregistration period Adult 14 years +
- $40 - Late Registration period Adult 14 years +
Juniors
- $20 - Preregistration period Junior under 13
- $30 - Late Registration period Junior under 13

The 2026 DFW Summer Series presented by Sun & Ski Sports will race on an event only short track course starting and ending from near the Patriot Pavilion at Big Cedar. PLEASE be respectful of the Mountain Creek Church property.
