Description
Light Up The Dark 2022 is Unbound Houston's 5th annual fun, family-friendly race event to raise awareness and funds for the anti-human trafficking work of Unbound in the Greater Houston/Galveston area. This October 22nd, we will host a 5K, FamilyK, and KidsK at MOODY GARDENS in Galveston, Texas.

NEW & RETURNING THIS YEAR
Back by popular demand!
· Moody Gardens Ropes and Zipline as a part of your registration
· Waves for 5K (these will be assigned by race management to keep young runners safe)
New This Year:
Blow-up game competitions with Prizes: Bean bag Throw; Football Throw; Frisbee Throw, Axe Throw
Returning from past LUTD events
· Supporting the work of Unbound Now Houston by running / attending to ignite hope in the fight against human trafficking
· SAME REGISTRATION PRICES AS LAST YEAR!!
· 5K run through Beautiful Moody Gardens up and back Hope Blvd. (no switchbacks in the parking lot!)
· Blow-up game competitions with Prizes: Bean bag Throw; Football Throw; Frisbee Throw, Axe Throw
· Shorter Lightning Bug Flash for 4/5 year olds with a prize for all at the end of the race!
· TRUE 1K for 6 - 11 year olds with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for each 2 yr age group.
· 1K course for families of small children to walk together
· Ninja Jared returning with his Overcoming Obstacles Ninja course
· Family fun: games & entertainment at the Oleander Bowl
· Pizza & Snacks
· Glow in the dark swag & face painting
· Plenty of Water
· GLOW DANCE PARTY
· Finisher medals for all 5K Finishers!
· Improved MOSQUITO CONTROL PLAN.
· More fun surprises!

Notice this year, we have a tab here on RunSignUp where you can register for the team you would like to serve on.

We also need you to click the REGISTER NOW button and register as a "NON-RACING PARTICIPANT" so that you can get a race event t-shirt and you can participate in all of the Oleander Bowl events and snack on all the yummy food!
