Description

We're coming back to Hillsboro by popular demand!

This route has it all, tight twisties through the woods, grinding climbs, fast hardpack and maybe an adventurous spot or two...or three. The 100 mile options is definitely not for beginners. Please don't bite off more than you can chew. This is not the proper event to attempt your first Century ride. The shorter routes aren't nearly as challenging but they sure aren't dull either!

This year we are including bikepacking options for the full weekend types. Stage from Hillsboro and follow a 60ish mile marked route to Hamm Creek for camping with power and showers. We will have a supported/guided option which includes us providing bikepacking gear as well as a self supported option for folks who already have their own gear. Spots are extremely limited so book this one early.

Great after party featuring Spinistry Chow and lovely cold beverages. More info soon!

Thou shalt not make unto thee a litter bug.
Thou shalt not take the spirit of self supported in vain.
Remember event day, it is holy.
Honor thy bike shops and thy distillers/fermenters.
Thou shalt not cheat.
Thou shalt not commit assholery.
Thou shalt not be unprepared.
Thou shalt not touch my timing computer even if you think you know everything about computers and software.
Thou shalt covet thy neighbor's bike, gear, lung capacity, navigation skills, etc. and seek to make them yours as well.

Race Category Descriptions

A Race - The Aces of the field. If it is a payout race this will be the category. Equivalent to Pro/Cat 1/19+ Mph Average over 100K

B Race - Badasses. The every day fast folks most of us are jealous of. Equivalent to Cat 2 and Cat 3 sandbaggers/16-18 Mph Average over 100K

C Race - Competitive. Likes the thrill of the chase and a badass wannabe. 14-16 Mph Average over 100K

D Ride - Developmental. Get out there and see what you can do. No pressure of any kind but you will have a recorded time to reference if you are curious how you stack up with others. Not worried about rankings? We're cool with that. This is also the preferred category for the person doing this type of event for the first time and has no idea which race category is appropriate for them. Ride non competitive the first event to establish a base line.

Categories are self declared but we reserve the right to force sandbaggers into an appropriate category at any time. Hint, if you podium more than once you are probably going to be upgraded. If you "win" a C race with a big gap on the field you will probably be upgraded that race unless you've never raced before.

Age breaks will be determined based on total number of entries once the event reaches capacity. The formula will be 8-10 racer per category (age/gender) based on youngest age and up. Once 10 racers are in an age/gender group the next group begins. Racing age is determined by age on event day.
